Beauty Definition – What is beauty to you?

The age-old saying “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder” is one we have heard throughout our lives. But what is it that makes a thing, person, or experience beautiful? To identify what beauty is to you, you must first become familiar with your unique values and beliefs. Many of these elements stem from the cultures we immerse ourselves in. Also, the environment in which we were raised growing up in our lives. It is also important to understand that you have complete control over your definition of beauty, and you naturally will evolve into finding new things and beautiful as you grow into adulthood and further in your life!

When crafting your unique beauty definition, it is essential to not only look at what is beautiful to society but also look at the individual things which you find attractive! Also, make sure to factor in that beauty is not just about the looks of something – it is also about the emotion, the feeling, the heart, the strength, etc. Understand that your beauty definition is going to be different than that of your mother, father, friend, partner, and of anyone else – it is uniquely yours.

What Makes You Beautiful?

When you learn about what you feel is beautiful, next ask yourself: what is it that I possess which is an excellent representation of my view of beauty? This can be physical features like eyes, nose, or ears. It can also be emotional features like a fantastic calm attitude or a loving heart. Be sure to not only look at yourself aesthetically to see what is beautiful – beauty is not only seen by the eyes, but also it is seen through the heart.

 

If you are having difficulty with this exercise, you need to go back to the drawing board in developing your beauty definition. Do you have any limiting beliefs or fears related to how you think about beauty? It is important to draw inspiration from new things if you feel like you need a better beauty definition. To the beautiful you, a walk in a beautiful park, gazing at a gorgeous painting, or simply watching the sunrise can help inspire you to build your definition.

How can you FEEL more beautiful today?

There are SO MANY amazing ways to feel more gorgeous in a given day! You are so beautiful, my friend! My most important word of advice is that feeling beautiful is an INNER work, not an outside work. If you change the way you think about yourself, the nutrition you give yourself, how much water you drink, and more, the loving thoughts and words you give to yourself and the people you love, you will NATURALLY have more beauty.

Makeup (for girls), stylish clothing, a gorgeous smile and keeping yourself clean and trimmed are also ways to feel more beautiful aesthetically! I know I instantly feel better when I clean up, put on a pretty dress and makeup and style my hair pretty! However, it is essential always to remember that these items are just coatings to what is inside, and if you radiate your inner beauty, your outer beauty can only grow greater!
